Job Title(s): Owner since 2010, BPOR licensed contractor, certified Building Analyst.
How did you get started in the industry?: “I had been in the newspaper business for twenty years before a colleague and I decided to open an energy consulting business in 2009.”
What do you like the most about your job?: “I enjoy the interaction with homeowners and helping them improve their biggest investment – their home!”
Best Advice: “My father always told me . . . there’s an easy way and then there’s the “right way” in doing home improvement projects. It’s nice when the easy way is the right way; however, that doesn’t happen too often.”

His favorite past vacation: Marty and his family have enjoyed escaping to his brother’s lake house in Kansas. No cell phone or internet connection . . . it’s a true vacation.

Kim Damico

Job Title(s): Interior Designer, Project Manager and Owner, Blue Lotus Design
How did you get started in the industry?: “You could say I was raised on job sites. My family owned a construction company, so from a young age I was exposed to how bathrooms and kitchens go together behind the walls, not just what you see at the end. I loved seeing the moment when all the finishes-tile, plumbing fixtures, paint and hardware-finally came together.”
Responsibilities: Kim collaborates with Home Performance Masters on cohesive, enduring spaces that suit clients’ needs now and in the future. Our partnership emphasizes teamwork between designer & project manager for a seamless execution.
What do you like most about your job: “What I love most about designing is the collaboration – working closely with clients to bring their ideas to life and seeing their excitement when they experience the beautiful result.”
In her spare time: Kim loves combining her passion for design with holistic animal training “it is where creativity and well-being meet”.
